Helen Marie (nee MacPhee) passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughters with grace and dignity that she portrayed through life, at the St. Joseph’s Life Care Centre on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in her 74th year.
Loving wife of the late John Racki (2004). Beloved mother of Nancy (Brian) Stephens, Carol (Orlando) Didomenico, Lisa (Fabian) Pustai all of Brantford, and Stephen (Trish) Dartmouth and Robert New Waterford. Much loved grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Helen is survived by her sisters, Doris Lawrie of Brantford and Martha (David) Osborne and brother, Richard (Priscilla) MacPhee of Sydney. Helen will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ambrose and Muriel MacPhee and by brother, Joseph MacPhee.
Mom was well known for working in retail and Weight Watchers for many years. She was along time member of the “New Waterford Swingers†and enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Maple Hill Manor; she was also an avid baker and enjoyed sharing recipes. She had a warm and wonderful personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held at later date in New Waterford.
