It is with great sadness that the families of the late Sarah Sadie Rowsell announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the age of 92. Sarah is predeceased by her husband, Benjamin; son, Winston; and several brothers and sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are 3 sons, Ronald (Bo) of Oshawa, Munden (Karen) of Acton, and Rex of Grand Falls-Windsor; 4 daughters, Doris of St. John’s, Bessie (Leslie) Barrow of Conception Bay South, Nina (Glen) Rowsell of Weston, Marion (Ray) Brett of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughter-in-law, Jane, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Triffie (Fred) Ivany; brother, Abel (Betty) Boone; sister-in-law, Sadie Saunders; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation took place Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2-4 & 7-9 from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL . The funeral service took place November 1, 2011 at 11 am from The Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery Point Leamington.
