SHARPE, REGINALD D. - 1944 - 2011 - Reginald Sharpe, 67, of Riverview, NB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Leigh and Katherine (Whalen) Sharpe. He worked with the Department of Transportation for 33 years, after which he was employed as a consultant for John Emery Geo Technical Engineering Limited for 14 years. He was a Nascar enthusiast who also loved to cook, and he was passionate about hockey, especially his beloved Moncton Wildcats. His greatest joy, however, was entertaining friends and family. His hearty laugh and light-hearted sense of humour was always enough to put smiles on the faces of all who met him. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 41 years, Carol (Madden), his son, Andrew, daughter-in-law Leah, and grandson, Lucas; his brothers Paul (Ruby), Bill (Daphne) and several nieces and nephews; his in-laws George and Waive Madden and Audrey and Gerald Petitpas; and brothers-in-law, Bud (Linda) Madden, Stephen (Linda) Madden, David Madden, Kevin (Rose) Madden and sister-in-law Kimmie Madden.
In keeping with Reg’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service celebrating Reg’s life will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, November 4th at 2:00 pm, Father Bernard Sloan presiding. A reception will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The Driscoll Extra Mural Services and Oncology departments of The Moncton Hospital.
