October 25, 1923 - November 2, 2011

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father Gaspare Cuglietta at the age of 88, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons Tony (Enza) of Kamloops and Gino (Yukari) of Vancouver, grandchildren Daniel (Marissa), Maria, and Enzo, and brothers Giovanni of Vernon and Francesco of Vancouver as well as numerous relatives in Italy, B.C., and Ontario.

Gaspare was predeceased by his wife Maria (nee Marrelli), father Antonio, mother Maria, brothers Raffaele, Vincenzo and Michele, sister Rosaria, son Frank and grandchildren Jennifer, and Justin.

Gaspare was born in Aiello Calabro, Cosenza, Italy on October 25, 1923. He emigrated to Canada and began work in Ontario with CNR and upon retirement, came to Kamloops. Gaspare enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and visiting with relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Road. Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen, Celebrant. Entombment to follow at Sage Valley Mausoleum.

A very special thank you to his care giver Enza, and the wonderful, devoted staff at Overlander Extended Care Facility, and to Dr. McLaren.
