It is with sadness that the families of the late Neta Ruby Martin announce her passing on November 2, 2011 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 84. Neta is predeceased by her husband, Baxter; sisters, Gladys, Ida, Verna, and Daisy; brother, Clarence. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Sam; daughters, Edith (Clyde) Downton, Annette (Cory) Saunders; grandchildren, Danette (Darrin) Woods, Daniel (Kimberly); Martin; three great-grandchildren; as well as a number if nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation took place Friday, November 4, 2011 at 7-9 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service took place Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, with Majors Owen and Sharon Rowsell officiating. The interment followed at the Caribou Road cemetery, Grand Falls Windsor, NL. Donations in her memory may be made to The Salvation Army Home League Missionary Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
