Gérard LeBlanc
LeBLANC, GÉRARD - Gérard E. LeBlanc, 89, formerly of Shediac River passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born August 13, 1922 in Saint-Maurice, he was the son of the late Edouard and Marie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Prior to his retirement, Gérard was employed with McDonald House Movers for 22 years. He was a member of le Club de Chasse et Pêche de Grande-Digue. Gérard is survived by four daughters: Diane Reardon (William) of Rockland, Mass, Linda Fougère (late Louis), Germaine LeBlanc (Wayne Vidito) and Gloria LeBlanc (Bruce Dean) all of Shediac River; a son Billy LeBlanc (Diane) of Shediac Bridge; five grandchildren: Bill, Gerry, Kevin, Lynn and Adam; three great-grandchildren: Mireille, Janie and Paul; one half sister Nélida Bastarache of Moncton and many nieces and nephews. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is predeceased by his wife Émilie "Millie" (LeBlanc) LeBlanc (March 12, 1999), six sisters: Alice Collette, Emma Velk, Marguerite Cormier, Régina Arsenault, Aurélie Maillet, Anita LeBlanc and by four brothers: Clorice, Pius, Fred and Alyre LeBlanc.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande Digue on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
