
Betty Goulding
Passed away peacefully on November 7th, 2011, Betty (Sheppard) Goulding of St. John’s. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Wilson Sheppard, sister Shirley and brother Harry. Left to mourn her passing and grateful for having shared her life are her partner and soul mate, Wayne Hutchings; cherished son Scott Goulding and wife Ida; grandson Shane whom she treasured and adored and his mother Janice; Scott’s father Gerry Goulding (Cheryl); brothers: Glenn (Marion), David (Irene), nieces and nephews whom she held so dear to her heart: Tim, Dion, Nancy, Kerilee, Lynn, Peter and Dane; stepsons: Nathan and Brandon; sister-in-law Sylvia Rowsell (Ken); Step-grandchildren: Christopher, Gregory, Bradley; step-great-grandchildren: Owen and Amber; two special cousins/sisters Ruth McDonald and Gaye Paddock who were her constant companions these past few years; aunts: Dorothy Fifield, Rose Kinden, Piney Small (Randolph), Ruby Sheppard, Audrey Jewer, and a large circle of other relatives in Point Leamington, Botwood, Lewisporte, Grand Falls, Baie Verte, Conception Bay South, and St. John’s; and many friends, former co-workers at Walmart, and her special friends from the former Fabulous 50's too numerous to mention, but all held a special place in her heart. Special thanks for their care and compassion for Betty to Dr. Rorke, Dr. MacIsaac, Dr. Kamran, Nursing Staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, ICU, 4 South B Gyn and 4 North A Staff at the Health Sciences Center. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Tuesday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011, from Barrett’s Chapel. Visitation will then resume at St. Andrew’s United Church, Point Leamington on Wednesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 from St. Andrews United Church, Point Leamington. Interment to follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre.
