It is with deepest sadness that the family of Kevin Edward Savitsky announces his passing on November 8, 2011 at the age of 47 years.

Born March 14, 1964 to Edward and Eunice Savitsky in Vernon, B.C.

He is survived by his wife Heather (Bell), daughters Samantha and Robyn. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Darryl Bell, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Susan and Jim Pate, nephew and niece Matthew and Laura, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Anita Bell, nieces Sydney and Nicole.

Predeceased by his brother Barry and his parents Edward and Eunice.

Survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Alberta and BC.

Kevin has spent most of his life in Vernon. He did attend Cariboo College in Kamloops and SAIT in Calgary, where he took the surveyor's mapping program. After leaving Calgary in 1991 he and his family relocated back to Kamloops for 2 years and then returned to Vernon, where he has continued to work in the surveyor's field. Kevin was very sports minded and played hockey and men's slo-pitch, as well as a very active member in Vernon Minor Fastball Association, as a coach and very enthusiastic dad, he also was president of VMFA for 7 years. He and Heather could always be found at one ball field or another.

After a 6 1/2 year struggle with cancer, he left us peacefully with family at his side at the North Okanagan Hospice House in Vernon.

A drop-in Celebration of Life will be held November 20, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Village Green Hotel, Sierra Room.
