Belinda Irene Ripley

Ripley, Belinda Irene, 57, of Salmon River, Colchester County passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, in Colchester regional Hospital, Truro with her friend Lula at her side. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (mason) Weatherby. She worked for many years for Stanfield’s ltd., Truro. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved to joke around with people and loved pulling jokes.
She is survived by sons; James (Tracy) of Malagash; Jean Norton (Gary) of Wallace; Brenda Ripley (Eddie) of Dartmouth; grandchildren Robert, Cassie, Bethany, Tyler, Zachary, Bryson, Dakota, Dylan, Kiara, Brayden; brothers, Kenny Weatherby (Freda) of Tatamagouche, Robert Weatherby (Marge) of Strathmore, AB, David Weatherby (Bernice) of red Cliff, AB, Steven Weatherby (Millie) of Bible Hill, Michael Weatherby (Susan) of Tatamagouche; sisters, Sandra Weatherby of Malagash, Joanne Lawless (John) of Wallace, Mary Caudle (Glen) of Truro, Margaret Chiason (Troy) of Truro, Laura Fisher (Fred) of Truro. Her best friend in the world Lula Langille, “I owe her everything”.
She was predeceased by her husband George A. Ripley; great-grandson Robert Lee Kenneth Carde Jr.; brother-in-law Malcolm Fisher.
No visitation by family request. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 15th at 1pm in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with Dr. Brian Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Monument Hill Cemetery, Malagash. Donations in Belinda’s memory may be made to The V.O.N. of Truro or to the Hospice Society of Truro.
