David MacDonald, 71, passed away on Nov. 9, 2011 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Donald John (Western Dan) and Ruth (MacLennan) MacDonald.
Surviving are sons James (Dale), Oromocto, N.B.; Christopher (Heather), Toronto, Ont.; Robert (Leigh Ann), Oshawa, Ont.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Bajur, Scarborough, Ont.; Gwen Turner (Lester), Mira Gut; Valda Cook, Mira Gut; and brothers, Fred (Patricia), Agincourt, Ont., Edwin, Glace Bay; Roger (Sandra), Mira Gut; Donald (Hazel), Whitby, Ont.; Ian (Donna) Omemee, Ont.; and Gary (Liz), Barrie, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Iowna, in January 2011, grandson Kirk, sisters Katherine Diane (infancy), and Athalie Claire MacDonald, and brother Lorne.
Cremation has taken place and a committal service will be held at a later date in Marion Bridge, Cape Breton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
