WEYMAN, G. SHIRLEY - G. Shirley Weyman (nee Pugh) of Fredericton, died November 13, 2011. She was born June 4, 1921, daughter of J.G. Blaine and Gertrude (Miller) Pugh. Shirley first married Harry P. Saunders, of Calgary, who was killed in action in Germany, February 1945. Shirley remarried (1947) to Charles E. Weyman, deceased 1965. Shirley graduated with a BA (English), UNB. After many years of community service with United Way, the CRCD, Literacy Council, VON, Meals on Wheels, and the Block Parent program, she completed studies in Social Work at St. Thomas University.
Shirley and Charlie were foundation members of the Unitarian Fellowship, Fredericton. She is survived by son, Edward (Tedd) Charles and her long time companion, (Ret) Justice Dave M. Dickson.
A Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev. Mac Campbell, 2PM, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Unitarian House in Fredericton. Memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. www.reidsfh.com
