ARSENAULT, EDWARD A. - Edward A. Arsenault, 97, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on November 7, 1914 in Coal Branch, NB, he was the son of the late Abel and Gertrude (Swift) Arsenault. He is survived by his second wife, Harriet (Van Horne); four children: Louise Arsenault (late Jack Duff), Florence Arsenault, Mary Doucette (Richard) and Paul Arsenault (Janyce); one sister: Rose Smith (late Gerald); one brother: James Arsenault (Annie); 10 grandchildren: Daniel, Charles, Jean, Marc, Guy, André, Nicole, Julie, Lynne and Natalie. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marguerite (Doran); seven sisters and brothers: John, Gertrude, Harold, Jeanne, William, Joseph and Francis, as well as one grandson, Marcel.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of departure (1:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s R.C. Church, 340 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Shediac Road cemetery.
