Formerly of St. Bride’s, passed peacefully away at his home in Freshwater on November 16th, 2011 in his 79th year, William Joseph Dohey. Predeceased by his parents Philip and Mary Lucy Dohey, his two infant daughters, his daughter-in-law, Beverley Green and his siblings: Violet, Margaret, Rudolph, Gerard and Reginald. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life, Willie’s devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Pat and their children: Bill; Philip and Angela and their son Jeffrey, Patrick and Brenda, Mary Lou and David Collins and their children Andrea, Michael and Katie, David and Linda, Paul and Mary; Ann Marie and Michael Provencher and their children Nicholas and Ava; Brenda and Jerome Tobin and their daughter Nancy. Also leaving to mourn his sister-in-laws: Theresa Fowler, Monica Byrde, Maria Mattei, Theresa Dohey; his brother-in-law Gerard Griffin and their families, as well as many friends. Throughout his years Dad was an exemplary loving husband and father and an exceptional community minded person. He served Holy Rosary Parish as a Eucharistic Minister, member of Parish Council and other committees. He was also long serving member of Freshwater Town Council, Placentia Area Development Association, Placentia-St.Mary’s School Tax Authority and School Board. Resting at Combs Funeral Home, Placentia from 7-9 pm on Thursday, 17th November and 2-9 pm on Friday 18th November and 10 am on Saturday 19th November. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday November 19, 2011 from Holy Rosary Church in Freshwater at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Freshwater.
