(11th August 1951 - 15th November 2011)– Passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, David Wayne Dyke, age 60 years of Mount Pearl. Predeceased by his father John Dyke and stepfather Duncan Menchions. Leaving to mourn his wife Karen (nee Flint); his sons: David, Darren and Gavin; grandson Gavin. Also his mother Phoebe Menchions of Spaniards Bay; brothers: Jacob (Pauline) Dyke, John (Deborah) Dyke, Douglas Menchions, Kenneth (Nancy) Menchions; sisters: Barbara (Ron) Stead, Darlene (Colin) Stamp, Marjorie (Ron) Rideout, Glenda (Robert) Ploughman; parents-in-law: Carmel and Derek Flint; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Graham) Craske; also many aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. Special thank-you to Dr. Mann, Dr. Felix, staff of 6 East St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Dr. Siddiqui and team, staff of Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Center, Chemotherapy Unit and staff of 4NA HSC. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., then on Saturday from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Wesley United Church on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
