Ida Elizabeth Embleton, R.N.
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the QEII Halifax Infirmary, on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, of Ida Embleton, R.N., of Cornwall, P.E.I., born in Dublin, Ireland, age 79. She was the daughter of the late Emmet and Elizabeth Collins. Ida was the beloved wife of Captain W. Peter Embleton; loving mother to Peter (Jacquie), Ottawa, ON; Neil (Veronica), Sundre, AB; Philip (Irina), Dharan, Saudi Arabia; Nicola (William Embleton-Lake), Halifax, N.S.; and Patricia (Cory Mosher), Mississauga, ON; and cherished grandmother to Christina and William; Courtney and Brett; Roman, Dimitri and Ida; Christopher, Steven and Timothy; and Hailey and Matthew. Ida’s loving smile and caring grace will be sorely missed. Visitations will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall, P.E.I., on Monday, November 21, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service on Monday at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will occur at a later date.
