Higgins, Ross Howard – 63, Londonderry passed away November 17, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Folly Mountain, he was a son of the late Austin and Rosella (McMillan) Higgins. Ross loved hunting, fishing and making knives. He enjoyed visiting friends and going for drives. Ross was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy (Chambers); daughters, Denise Higgins, Halifax, Tammy (Jeff Stevens) Higgins, Oxford, Melissa Higgins, Moncton, NB; sons, Bruce (Shawna), Debert, Wayne (Mandy), Great Village, Michael, Londonderry, Dustin, Moncton, NB; sisters, June, Inez, Betty, Anna, Karen, Patsy, Georgina, Susan; brothers, Gerald, Douglas; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sister, Pollyanna; brothers, Murray, Victor. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 10 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.
