After their marriage in 1943, she went on to live in Fogo and later Gander to raise her family. A kind, compassionate and selfless woman who saw good in every person she met, she was happiest when surrounded by family, close friends and especially children. Her kitchen was her castle and she gleaned much satisfaction from cooking and sharing delicious meals and home-baked sweets with the many who came through her door. She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to share a story and her infectious laugh. She loved the simple things in life and together with Bill, passed on her love of camping, nature and the outdoors to her entire family. The family will welcome visitors at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm and again at 7 pm to 9 pm.
