It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Hector Dandy on Nov. 18, 2011 in the Northside Community Guest Home.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late Harry and Catherine (Harrietha) Dandy.
Clarence enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lobster fisherman all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Marie (McMullin); and her children; brothers, Michael (Betty) and Neil; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sister, Marie LeBlanc, brothers, Colin, Billy, Harry, James and John.
Visitation for the late Mr. Dandy will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, from Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24 from St. Joseph’s Church, Bras d’Or, Fr. Peter McLeod officiating.
We would like to thank the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home for all the care and compassion shown to Clarence and an extra special thank you to Dr. John Ritter and Colleague.
Donations in Clarence’s memory may be made to the palliative care unit or the cancer unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
