Died quietly with strength and peace as he was surrounded by the love of his family, Byron Reginald Dawe, aged 60 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Margaret (Moriarty); his beloved daughter, Maggie (boyfriend, Mark Courish); mother, Rita, St. John’s; brothers: Merrick (Lorraine), Edmonton, AB; Donald (Bernice) Dartmouth, NS; Ivan (Patricia) Norris Point, NL; sister, Beverley (Russell Simmons) St. John’s; mother-in-law: Margaret Moriarty, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Leo Moriarty, Ferryland; Peter (Gladys) Moriarty, Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Sheila (John Dunphy) Harbour Grace; Marion (Ivan Penney) Harbour Grace; Joan (Leland Mercer), St. John’s, Helen Moriarty, Harbour Grace; nieces and nephews: Shaun, Adrienne, Nadia, Ian, Neal, Richard, Brian, Janet, Sarah, Maura, Elizabeth, Katie, Heather and Laura and all their families. Predeceased by father, Reginald (1967); father-in-law, Leo Moriarty (2004) and brother-in-law, Paul Moriarty (1994). Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Byron’s memory may be made to the IEEE Scholarship Fund c/o Memorial University of Newfoundland.
