Nellie Roberts
1936 - 2011
It is with sadness that the family of the late Nellie Roberts of Triton announces that she passed peacefully away on Nov 12, 2011. She was born to Peter & Blanche Berg on June 4, 1936 in Robert’s Arm. Later she met and married Gordon Roberts of Card’s Harbour (Dec 27, 1951) and together they raised 3 sons and 3 daughters. They became the proud grandparents of 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and great-grandparents of twins, Luke & Olivia. Family was very important to Nellie and she thought little of the many sacrifices that she made for them. Community was also important and she devoted many hours serving with different groups – the Town Council, Fire Department, Ambulance service, Red Cross and the Green Bay Hospital Board. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Leaving to remember the wonderful life that she lived, are: husband Gordon, sons Terry (Kay), Bob (Loretta), Randy (Tobi-Ann), daughters Claris (Warren Strong), Cindy (Barry Vincent), and Sally; grandsons Craig, Jody, Jeffrey, Mark, Grant, Jake, Rocky, Trevor; granddaughter Nikita; great-grandchildren Luke & Olivia. She was predeceased by her parents. Pastor Jeffrey Elliott conducted the funeral service on Nov 17, 2011 from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton, with interment following at the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were her three sons and grandsons Jeffrey, Jake & Trevor Roberts.
