It is with fond memories and sadness we announce the loss of a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and a friend Keith Edwin Dods at the age of 56 years. Keith's journey began at Kincaid Saskatchewan on September 8, 1955 ended peacefully on November 19, 2011 in Regina Saskatchewan after being diagnosed with cancer less than one year ago. Keith is predeceased by his mother Gladys in June 2011 and his older brother Allen in November 2006. Keith will be missed by his father Ralph, younger brother Mel (Patrick). He was a proud Uncle to Steve (Paula) and their children Drew and Oaklan; Sherry and her children Paige and Zaydin; sister-in-law Wendy and his many, many friends. Keith attended school in Meyronne and Moose Jaw making lifelong friends along the way. After high school Keith worked at various jobs before beginning his 31 year career with Canadian Border Services Agency which he never truly retired from. A career he did with honour, pride and passion. Keith had the natural ability to remember dates, times, places, and especially when it came to people. He could remember them, and their families. Keith was always making new friends along the way, right to the end. As his friend Jim said "Don't have to worry about Keith he could make a friend with a gopher". Family was extremely important to Keith as were his many, many friends. The family would like to express special thanks to the palliative care nurses and doctors that cared for Keith to make his life more comfortable. To his many, many friends and relatives who came to visit and sit with him. The Celebration of Keith’s life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave. N.W., on Saturday November 26, 2011 at 1:30 pm.
