Marjorie Rebecca Cooper

The family of Marjorie Rebecca Cooper acknowledges with grateful appreciation your kind expression of sympathy. It is difficult to put our thoughts into words but know that your thinking of us at this time has meant a lot. It was John F. Kennedy that said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” This past week you have lived by those words in many ways.

Thank you to all those that have donated flowers, food and expressions of sympathy. The cash donations will be donated to the CNIB in mom's memory. Life is a journey and while on that journey, if we are lucky, we are touched by special people that we call angels. Our angel is our sister-in-law, Beverley Cooper. God knew that she was the chosen one to see our family through many trials and much sadness since coming into our lives. We love her and thank God for her every day.

The Cooper's have been blessed in many ways for we have not one, but two angels to oversee our family, the second being our brother-in-law, David Masters. Thank you Dave for being there when it meant the most. While most of us live in other parts of the country, we felt relieved after meeting the staff on the third floor of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility. Their gentle approach and compassion shown to mom was second to none.

We have been fortunate enough as a family to come to know Salvation Army Officers: Majors Wayne and Betty Ann Pike. Doing the Lord's work is their strength which has been shown to us and our mother many times since they moved to Deer Lake. A huge thank you to Organist; Wayne Thompson for playing so beautifully, our Sarah Cooper another angel in our family whose singing voice can charm the birds out of the trees; the pallbearers; Salvation Army Home League for providing refreshments after the service; and finally Parsons Funeral Home for showing their care and professionalism to us.

Thank you all for your thoughtfulness, your generosity and your support.

The Cooper Family.
