The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer on November 4, 2009, of Abby Chaisson (nee Taylor) of Souris, age 56 years.
Beloved wife of Joey Chaisson and loving mother of Karen (Patrick) Power, Krista (Terry) Campbell, Kara (Matt) Chaisson and Kent (Liz) Chaisson. Special nanny to Carly, Emily, Jack, Jillian, Nellie, Maribeth, Ross and Pierce.
Survived by mother, Bertha Taylor; sisters, Mona (Claude) Matheson, Faye Vaniderstine, Sue (Floyd) Hicken, Blanche Webster; brothers, Wylie, Bert (Marlene) and Dale (Marjorie) Mossman. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law, Mary (Cecil) MacDonald, Loretta (Gerry) MacDonald, Cathy (Bobby) Gregory, Margie (Wayne) Chaisson, Colleen (Mike) McCormack, Anne Marie (David) Whalen, Joanne (Jackie) MacDonald; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Vera), Kenny (Donna), Gerard (Cheryl), Frankie (Gail) and Vince (Lana). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her father, Truelove; father and mother-in-law, Johnny and Marguerite; brothers-in-law, Carl Webster, Chester Vaniderstine; sister-in-law, Helen Chaisson; and nephews, Parker Matheson, Stephen Taylor and Chad Chaisson.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral to be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris on Saturday, November 7, 2009, for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
