WRY, GERALD - Gerald Earl Wry, 90, of Fairfield Rd., Sackville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. He was the son of the late Dorothy Richardson and Walter Wry. Gerald worked at the Enterprise Foundry as a moulder, from where he retired after 44 years of service. He very much enjoyed his camp in the Second Westcock Hill. Gerald was an avid hunter and skilled trapper. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. Gerald loved to spend time with his family, especially his sons. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Alta (Beal) Wry; sons Gerry (Kathy), Westcock and Kevin (Holly), Frosty Hollow; grandchildren Angela (Rick) Ward, Ashley Wry, Kristy Wry, Taylor Wry; sister Patricia Johnson, Westcock; several nieces and nephews. Gerald was also blessed to have spent time with his first great grandchild Chloe Ward. He was predeceased by a loving daughter Marie and several brothers and sisters. He will be deeply missed everyday by his family and always remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2 pm, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
