Mrs. Lorraine Louise Martin (nee Andre), a long time resident of Dawson Creek, B.C. passed away peacefully in the Rotary Manor on Thursday Oct. 20th, 2011 at the age of 94 years.
Lorraine will be sadly missed by sons Andre, Louis (Barb), and Gene and lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren: Yvette (Ed), Mary (Ken), Marilyn, Trish (Kevin), Barry (Nadine), Joanne, Stacey, Jeannette (Stephen), Shawn (Lisa), Debbie (Bob), Rachelle (Wes), Michelle, Leeanne (Barry) and Ian. She was also great grandmother to 33 smaller souls.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene, son George, brothers Albert, George and Louis Andre, and great granddaughter Kylie Bain.
A prayer service was held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Reynars Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 29,at 11:00 am at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, Dawson Creek Fr. Michael Anyasoro officiated. Lorraine was laid to rest with her husband Eugene in the Dawson Creek City Cemetery.
For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Lorraine to the Cystic Fibrosis of Canada.
