Following a brief illness, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2009, of Rita Marie Carragher (nee Doucette), Charlottetown, age 86 years.
Dear mother of Joyce Thompson (David), Sharon MacLean (Allison), Tommy (Cindy), Ricky, Gary (Cathy) and Lorri Murphy (Brian). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Aaron Thompson, Cara Flanagan (Sean), Bryan MacLean (Tracey Dennis), Brianne Peters (Grant), Lindsay Carragher, Heather Carragher, Stephanie Carragher, Zac Murphy and Olivia Murphy; and by her great-grandchildren, Maverick MacLeod and Peyton Peters.
Sister of Norma MacDonald (Ronald), Louise Doucette (Ted, deceased), Alfred Doucette, Alyre Doucette (Anna), Edward Doucette (Marietta) and Fran MacDougall (Mel). Sister-in-law of Ella Doucette.
Predeceased by her husband, Eugene Carragher; by her parents, Frank and Bernice (nee Gallant) Doucette; by her brother, Cyril Doucette; and by her sister, Marie Bradford (Hal).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Monday at 9:45 a.m., then to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Family flowers only.
