WOOD, LENA BESSIE - The death of Lena Bessie Wood of French Lake, NB occurred on November 26th, 2011 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB at the age of 102. Born, December 20th, 1908 in French Lake, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Nason) Wood and wife of the late Lee Wood. Lena is survived by her children, Barbara Moore (Gilbert) of Rusagonis, NB, Lebaron Wood (Sandra) of Nackawic, NB, Edith Porter (Stephen) of Tracy, NB and Glendon Wood (Mae) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; her daughter-in-law, Diane Wood of French Lake, NB; her grandchildren, Jason, Lester, Michael, Lisa, Jody, Heather, Stacey, Joanna, Bradley, Cairina and Rebekah and her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lee; three children, Victor Wood, Carl Wood and Lester Wood and her siblings, Edith Harris, Jennie Harris and Dorothy Wood. Lena was a lifelong member of the French Lake Baptist Church and will be missed by many great friends and neighbors.
There will be no visitation by request, a memorial service will take place at French Lake Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Interment will take place in the Wood Cemetery, French Lake, NB. For those who wish, donations in memory of Lena may be made to the French Lake Baptist Church.
