Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2011, of Mr. J. H. Eric MacDonald of Marshfield in his 85th year.
Beloved husband of Velma Carmody- MacDonald. Dear father of Michael MacDonald of Ont., P. Allan (Geri) MacDonald of Montague, Kevin (Cindi) MacDonald of Charlottetown, Mary (Bobby) MacDonald of Ten Mile House and father-in-law of Shelley MacDonald of Cape Breton. Stepfather of David Carmody, Debra Kelly, Jim Carmody, Lloyd Carmody, Brian Carmody and Andy Carmody. Loving Grampie of Vanessa Campbell, Jennifer Gill, Ericka MacDonald, Holly MacDonald, Hillard MacDonald, Aaron MacDonald, Cole MacDonald and nine great-grandchildren. Brother of Ian (Sheila) MacDonald, Dunstan (Heather) MacDonald and Sr. Anne MacDonald CND. He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence Peters; infant son, Hillard James; eldest son, David Eric MacDonald (Ret. RCMP); and his brothers, Leo, Athol and Gerald MacDonald.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Tuesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Monday 6 to 9 p.m.
