At the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Saturday, November 26, 2011, of Emmett Hughes, formerly of Dromore, age 90 years.
Emmett is survived by his sister, Agnes Arsenault (Duke); sisters-in-law, Eileen Larkin, Anita Hughes and Bernadette Hughes and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary Hughes; sister, Sr. Helen CND; and brothers, Earl, Jack, Robert, Pius and Eugene S.J.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Monday, November 28, 2011, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29, at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
