Mary Noren passed away on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her family, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 12th, 1941 in Peesane, Saskatchewan and moved to Moose Jaw at 10 years of age. She spent the rest of her life here. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry; two brothers, Mike (Darlene) Hrechka and Bill Hrechka; two sisters, Kathy (Leo) Shull and Anne (Bill) McGinnis; a brother-in-law Jim (Susan) Noren; five nieces and five nephews; as well as nine great-nephews and ten great-nieces including Paige and April Dell. She was predeceased by her father John and her mother Stella Hrechka and her sister-in-law Mary Hrechka. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church will officiate and burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 2M2.
