Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Predeceased by her husband, John Richard Whitlock (1980) and long-time companion, James Corbett (2007) and brother, George Matta.
She leaves behind daughters, Ann, Edith and son, Richard (Rosemary); grandchildren, Martin, Cherlyn, Debbie, Yury and Lara; great-grandchildren, William, Jonathan, Cassandra and Stephanie; sister, Mary Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria. The family will interment the ashes at the People's Cemetery Monday, July 30, at 10 a.m.
Donations may be made to the Renal Unit at the Royal Jubilee Hospital or the SPCA.
