BEALS, Vernon William – Inglisville, NS loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully December 2, 2011 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown at the age of 79. Born in Inglisville, Annapolis County, Vernon was the son of the late Dudley and Amanda (Mailman) Beals. Vernon was a retired farmer and carpenter. He always enjoyed working in the woods, camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Vernon loved his family dearly, especially spending time with the grandchildren. He is survived by loving son, Vernon “Rickey”; daughter-in-law, Karen (Johnson), Inglisville. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Travis Connell Beals (Michele Kerr), Inglisville and Meghan Holly Beals, Charlottetown, PEI; brother, Roy (Vera) Beals, Nictaux. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years Dora (Connell). Visitation was held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. Funeral service was held Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the Inglisville United Baptist Church, Pastor Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Whitman Cemetery, South Williamston.
