Nealy J. Burbine, 80 years of age, of River Hebert, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Joggins he was a son of the late Clarence & Mary (White) Burbine.
He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping. He enjoyed playing darts, visiting with his friends. A dedicated worker he was a member of the Local 73 & 128 for 46 years.
Nealy will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Doris Richard; a son, Stephen (Valerie) of River Hebert, NS; sister , Agnes Eagles of Lower Cove, NS; grandchildren, Tanya (Shaun) of Joggins; great grandson Taylor of Joggins, several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Alice Cormier; brothers, Sidney, Douglas and John.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert. No visitation by request. A memorial mass will be held from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11 am. Burial to take place in the St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie.
