DICKSON, ROY C. - 1921-2011 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Roy C. Dickson at the age of 90, on December 12th, 2011 at his residence at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Napan. Born in Chatham, he was the son of the late Melvin and Jean (Mason) Dickson. He is survived by his wife of 66years, Annie (Connick) Dickson, his two children: David T. Dickson (Noreen) of Napan, Elizabeth A. (Dickson) Stacey (Jim) of Miramichi, as well as four granddaughters: Fauna (Dickson) Doyle (Stewart) of Nelson, Ranine Dickson of Minto, Christina (Rutland) Kaior (James) of Moncton, and Melonie Rutland (BJ) of Moncton. Great-grandchildren: MacKenzie Rutland, Sarah Comeau, Jessica Comeau, Kami Doyle, Brooklyn Kaior, Sarah Kaior and Noah Kaior. He is also survived by his two sisters: Phyllis Taylor (Keith) and Norma Jardine (Morris) both of Napan, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and many friends. Roy worked as a farmer and self employed truck driver all of his life. He was pre-deceased by his parents, sister Christina Baird, and four brothers, Murton, Hazen, Donald and Arthur.
Roy C. Dickson is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, NB, on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 from 7 to 9pm and Thursday, December 15th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral will be held Friday, December 16th, 2011 at 2pm from St Andrew’s United Church in Miramichi. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.
