BONNAR, RUBY "MARGUERITE" - The death of Ruby “Marguerite” (Currie) Bonnar wife of Donald Bonnar of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the age of 76. Born in Douglas, NB, Marguerite was the daughter of the late William Gordon and Annie Marguerite (Allen) Currie. Marguerite was a hairdresser, a member of the NB Hairdresser Association and was a volunteer for prison and seniors ministries. Marguerite is survived by one daughter: B. Jane Knight of Jemseg NB; two sons: Michael Briggs (Brenda) of Cambridge Narrows, NB and Brian Briggs (Margie) of French Village, NB; three stepdaughters: Terry Lynn Beyea (Art) of Rothesay, NB, Jackie Bonnar of Douglastown, NB and Tasha Bonnar of Moncton, NB; two stepsons: Greg Bonnar of Hampstead, NB, Kimbal Bonnar (Dianne) of Lower Sackville, NS three sisters: Pauline Billings of Hainesville, NB, Florence Currie of Fredericton, NB and Mary Moorehouse (Edward) of Haneytwon, NB; one brother: Lyle Currie of Swan Creek, NB; six grandchildren: Alexzandra, Emily, Ryan, Duncan, Kaylea and Gregory; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Marguerite is predeceased by one sister: Lila Mae Buckley and two brothers: Beverly and Allen.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 2 PM with Canon Rev. Walter Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Gagetown Cemetery. In Marguerite’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or a memorial of ones choice.
