Leslie Harrington Slade of Ferguson Drive, Sydney, passed away at the Northside Community Guest Home on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
Born in Salmon Cove, Nfld., he was the son of the late Elijah and Martha Slade.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Peach); son, Bruce; sister, Lilly Butt.
Leslie was predeceased by his daughter, Corinne, son (in infancy), brothers, Ed, Walter and Absolem.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Northside Community Guest Home on Friday, 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Cape Breton Regional Hospital (3B), Northside Community Guest Home or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
