William RADCLIFFE

It is with sadness and love that our family announces the passing of William (Bill) Frederick Radcliffe. Bill passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 85, in Red Deer, Alberta. Bill was born on August 1, 1926 in Caron, Saskatchewan. Bill met his wife June at Temple Gardens in Moose Jaw; they married in 1947 and made their home in Moose Jaw with their three children. Bill worked the majority of his life at the Robin Hood Mills and later retired working as a custodian, for the Federal Government of Canada. Shortly after Bill and June’s retirement, they moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta and continued their journey together through the golden years. Bill loved to dance; he will be remembered for his ability to cross the dance room floor with style that would easily captivate others. Bill also loved to tease those around him, but his greatest pleasures came from spending time with his family. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife June in January 2011 and his son, Blaine in April 2003. Bill is survived by his two children: Donna of Red Deer, Grant (Angie) of Estevan and daughter-in-law, Sandra of Taber; six grandchildren and nine-great-grandchildren; sister, Laureen Smart of Kimberly; sisters in-law, Norma Eastwood of Regina, Joy Mitchell of Moose Jaw, Alice Radcliffe of Moose Jaw; brother-in-law Herb (Grace) Priestley of Moose Jaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill will be forever loved and his memories always cherished by his family and friends. The family would like to send heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents at the Symphony Senior Living (Inglewood), for their dedication to Bill’s well being. A Private Family Time of Remembrance will be held to honour Bill’s life at a later date, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Donations Department, 100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1Z6.
