It is with great sadness that the family of the late ALONZO BARRON of Mortier, announces his passing at his home in Mortier on Tuesday December 13, 2011 at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Ellen of 46 years; Sons Wade (Ingrid) of Marystown, and Floyd (Amanda) of Bassano, AB; Daughters Diane (Kevin) Walsh of Burin, Carrie (Ken) Hanlon of St. John’s, and Gladys (Gerard) Murphy of Parker’s Cove; Sisters Laura Murphy of Rushoon, Carmel (Francis) Duke of Freshwater, and Martha (Rick) McCommon of Mississippi; Brother Archibald (Mercedes) Barron of Freshwater; Uncle Peter Barron of Freshwater; 12 Grandchildren; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Fergus & Annie Barron, Brother Arthur, Sister Alice, Niece Carmie, Nephew Kevin and Granddaughter Nikki.

Funeral Mass took place on Friday December 16, 2011 at 11:30am. Cremation followed. In Alonzo’s memory donations may be made to The Barron Family or The Newfoundland and Labrador Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association.
