Gordon passed away quietly at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home, Kamloops, BC on December 5, 2011.
Gordon was born June 30, 1953 in Enderby, BC.
You were a loving and caring brother, uncle and cousin Gord - we will never forget your big smile, and generous laughter - we will see you in the stars and the moon. You will be forever missed.
Gord was a happy, friendly guy who loved music, especially the band ABBA. He loved attending the Kamloops Blazers hockey games, and was their biggest fan. He lived for many years at Garden Manor on Nicola Street.
Gord dearly loved his family, which included an extended family of cousins. Gord had his share of struggles in life - but he met them with courage and humour. Gord also loved the BC outdoors and the wildlife it held.
Gordon is survived by his sisters Brenda Gardner, Shirley Tennant and brother Rory Tennant, nieces Jessica Gardner (Scott Bye), Marisa Gardner, and nephew Ryan Gardner and great nephews, Chris Tennant and Andrew Allen.
Gordon was predeceased by his baby brother Carl, and mother Evelyn Tennant (Zettergreen) and father Sandy Tennant.
We thank Gordon's physician of many years, Dr. Doug Hamilton, staff at Hillside Centre and staff (most notably RN's, Arinna and Jenny - you ladies provided quality care in Gord's final days) at Royal Inland Hospital for their care and concern for Gord in his recent illness. A special thank you to staff at Garden Manor who cared for Gord for many years.
A private family Memorial will be held in 2012 - to Celebrate Gordon's beautiful life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Mental Health or Ducks Unlimited would be appreciated.

God Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow and accept the end
Of a love or a season?
