ETHRIDGE, Gladys “Phyllis” (nee Durdle)– Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Gladys (Phyllis) Ethridge, passed away at the Kingston General Hospital at the age of 82 on November 3, 2009. Beloved wife of Ronald Ethridge and dearest mother of Randy (Carol), Janet Love (David), Derrick (Karen), Terry, Wade, Glenn (Michelle) and Rhonda Smith (David). Loving Nan to Courtney and Andrew Ethridge, Kristy and Laura Love, Daphne Plourde, Tanner, Taylor and Emma Jane Ethridge, Alex Dunlop, Brooke Wemp (Jason), Jennifer Nieradka (Nick) and Nathan Ethridge (Ashlee), Calen Ethridge, Michael, Eric, Paige and Ryan Ethridge and Christine, Katie and Allison Smith and great-grandson Joey Camphaug. Dear sister of Kay Hickey (Tom) of Cambridge, ON, Arch Durdle (Theresa) of Bell Island, NL and Claudine Durdle of Halifax, NS. Predeceased by her brother Reg (Loretta), sister Joyce Durdle and her parents Thomas and Stella Durdle, of Bell Island, NL and grandson Matthew Love. Friends were received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr. and Taylor-Kidd Blvd.) on Thursday, November 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, 3 Briscoe Ave., Amherstiview, on Friday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
