The death occurred suddenly at his residence in Souris on Sunday, November 15, 2009, of Shirley Sampson, age 77 years.
Former husband of Mary Rodd (nee Jennings). Beloved father of Kevin (Heather), Darlene (Wayne) Watts, Colleen Sampson, Rollie (Keri Anne), Wayne (Darlene). Fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers, Francais (Audrey) from Norland, Ontario; Eric (Sharon) of Windsor, N.S.; Niel (Mary) of Whitehead, N.S.; Colin (Fif) of Little Dover, N.S.; Donnie (Marion) of Little Dover, N.S.; Billy (Margie) of Little Dover, N.S.; and sisters, Betty Casey (Herbie) of Mass., U.S.A.; Patsy Arbuckle of New Glasgow, N.S.; Doris Keefe (Ernie) of Little Dover, N.S.; Effie Munroe (Max) of Little Dover, N.S.; Dianna Sampson of Little Dover, N.S. Predeceased by infant daughter, Blanche Colleen; brothers, Gordon and Campbell Sampson, both of Little Dover; and parents, Artchie and Emma (nee Horne) Sampson.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, November 18, 2009, to St. Mary\'s Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
