VEINOTT, Annie Amelia (Chesley) - 94 of Bridgetown, formerly of Middleton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Born in Forest Glade, she was a daughter of the late Adelbert and Jessie (Burns) Weaver. Annie was a former employee of Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed doing crossword and jig-saw puzzles, was an avid reader and was loved by all who met her. She is survived by daughters, Edith Simpson, Victoria Vale; Mary (Greg) Bent, Kentville; step daughter, Ann Hoeksema (Lippe) Winnipeg; sons, Jack (Jean) Chesley, Forest Glade; Ron (Sanda) Chesley, Middleton; Sam (Linda) Chesley, Londonderry, Colchester County; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Chesley; second husband, Howard Veinott; daughter –in-law, Linda (Crawford), son-in-law, Ralph Simpson, grandson, Casey Bent; great grandson, Ethan Chesley, sisters, Thelma and Mabel; brothers, Robert, Spurgeon, Paul, Raymond and Rupert. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service was held December 18, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, with Rev. Dr. John McNally officiating. Interment in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
