Marion passed away peacefully at Burnaby General Hospital on Dec. 23, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Karl, and by her eight children: Anne, Mary, Paul, Jim, Mark, Tom, Robert, and Peter. Marion, daughter to Ruby and Frank Madden, married Karl in 1949 and they raised eight children together, first in Longlac ON and later in Prince Albert SK. Marion was an exceptional and devoted mother who gave generously of herself to many non-profit organizations during her working years. She was an accomplished bridge player, earning a Life Master designation with the American Bridge Association. A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 1450 Delta Ave., Burnaby on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Burnaby General Hospital.
