TRIMM, Elizabeth Anne-75, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born January 15th 1936 in Summerville Centre, Queen’s County, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Mildred (Davis) Hupman. Elizabeth graduated from the Normal College in Truro. In addition to teaching elementary school in Trenton ON, she taught mentally handicapped children for many years in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Later she spent several years as a preschool teacher at the A.V.M. Morphee Nursery school in Greenwood, where she was known by the children as “Miss Betty”. Besides knitting and other crafts Elizabeth had a lifelong passion for gardening and their home was well known in the neighborhood for its colorful flower gardens. She is survived by her husband, Maxwell Trimm; daughter, Patricia Trimm, Brockville, ON; sons, Robert (Phyllis) Trimm, Greenwood and Philip Trimm, Kentville; sisters, Jean Mansfield, Milton, Queen’s County; Amy Lawson and Audrey Wagner, both of Summerville Centre; Grace (MacKenzie) Robinson, Trenton, ON; brothers, Vernon Hupman, Huston, Texas; Claire (Lorraine) Hupman, Summerville Centre; grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Rebecca, Jamie, Aleia, Kyle, Kayla, Kristen and Keanna and four great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1:00PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 with Dr. Brian L. Banks officiating. By request there will be no visitation and family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
