Bud was predeceased by his first wife Irene and his brother George.

He was born in Pense, Saskatchewan on December 6, 1924. Upon release from the RCAF in 1945, Bud, with Irene and his parents, purchased the Windmill Lodge in Savona. In 1954, they opened Dey's Centre on the "new" Highway in Savona. He retired from the store in 1972 and moved to Nanaimo to launch Deydream II and for the next number of years enjoyed sailing the coastal waters, including a trip to the South Pacific. In 1986, they returned to Kamloops, purchased a motorhome and cruised the inland empire, enjoying life as snowbirds. Following mom's passing he continued his passion for lawn bowling where he met and married his current wife Tina. With that, we have welcomed Jack Legebokow, his wife Kathy and Cory Legebokow, his wife Heather and their children to our family.
