Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, Ont., on December 30, 2011, in her 71st year.
Beloved wife of the late James “Jimmy Ike” Cheverie. Loving mother of Lisa Jenkins (Alan), Bradley (Carin) and Ken (Andrea). Cherished Nana of Logan, Connor, Cole and Cody. Dear sister of Pat McAlpine (Vivian) and the late Paul McAlpine (Trish). She will also be missed by several family and friends in Prince Edward Island.
Denise was a long-time, faithful member at Sts. Peter & Paul Church and volunteered much of her time with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Ave. E., in Hamilton, Ontario on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald House would be greatly appreciated by her family.
