CARIGNAN, Father Raymond Jean-Marie Raoul. It is with profound sadness that the family of Father Raymond shares the news of his passing. On December 26, 2011 he was involved in a two vehicle collision approximately 2 kms west of Kincaid. Father Raymond was born July 2, 1942 in Ponteix, SK and was raised on the family farm six miles north of town. He was ordained May 31, 1969 and cherished the many meaningful relationships he cultivated in his 42 years of service to the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, frequently going above and beyond to be with them. In his spare time his greatest passion was to grow both vegetable and flower gardens. Like his flowers, his relationships blossomed beautifully wherever he went to serve. Predeceased by his parents Gerard (1981) and Florence (1980) Carignan, brother Albert Carignan (1981), and brother-in-law Robert McCloy (2011). He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Aline McCloy of Moose Jaw SK., Nicole (Leon) Proust of Strathmore Alta., sister-in-law Marie Carignan of Fernie B.C., as well as his numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and all those he touched during his life. His life was celebrated January 3, 2012 in Ponteix at Notre Dame d'Auvergne Roman Catholic Church. "Always in our hearts and never forgotten, he is in peace in God's garden."
