GALLANT, LORRAINE - It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine Gallant announce her passing at the age of 83, on Monday January 2, 2012 at the Villa Providence in Shediac where she resided since 2006 and formerly of Grand-Barachois. Born October 9, 1928 in Ohio, NB, she was the daughter of the late Venant and Mélina (Thibodeau) Boudreau. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Emery, her adopted daughter, Lianne Gallant-Johnson (Lorenzo) of Grand-Barachois; her grandchildren: Serge Donnelle and Marc Donnelle, her great-grandchildren: Gabriella Donnelle-Buchanan and Austin Donnelle; two sisters: Thérèse Léger (Yvon) of Grand-Barachois and Simone Lirette (late Eric) of Shédiac; two sisters-in-law: Corinne Boudreau (late Ovila) and Lorraine (late Laurie), both of Shédiac, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four sisters: Flora, Marie-Anne, Marguerite and Bertha; three brothers: Clarence, Ovila and Laurie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shédiac (532-3297) Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral mass will be held at Saint-Henri R.C. Church in Grand-Barachois on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
