In her 90th year, on December 28th, 2011, our Ottawa-born mother, Mary Allison Macdonald (nee McNee), daughter of Joseph and Katherine McNee,nursing grad of the Ottawa Civic Hospital, and life-long volunteer died at her home in Sechelt, B.C. Mary's volunteering began in Edmonton with the Pony Club and other equestrian organizations,and Canadian Mental Health and continued in Sechelt, with St. Mary's Auxilary, Thrift Shop, Totem Lodge, and Hospice.
Pre-deceased by her husband Donald, daughter Gayle, brothers Jim and Don McNee,and grandson Adam.
Loved by and left to celebrate a life well-lived, are her children, Dave and (Diane) Macdonald, Cathy and (Paul) Moreau, Caryn and (Brian) Stelck, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.     
The family is grateful to the community of Sechelt, Bethel Baptist Church, Blissful Home Care caregivers, Dr. Doris Fogarty, VCH Palliative Care Program, St. Mary's Hospital Emergency staff, and B.C. Ambulance Paramedic Crews for all their care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary (Sechelt, B.C.) or Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held February 4th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 5717 Mermaid in Sechelt.
