LÉGER, ARTHUR - Arthur Leger, 89, of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on November 3, 1922 in Barachois, he was the son of the late Edgar and Lina (Doiron) Léger. Arthur was a poultry farmer for 30 years and retired in 1989. He had a special love for animals and enjoyed raising them for many years. He was a devoted husband, a great father and a very special grandfather who loved and adored his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Yolande (Gagnon); three daughters: Claudette Arsenault (Daniel) and Majella Léger (Edouard Dupuis), both of Grand-Barachois, and Dorilla Léger of Shediac; one sister: Valida Fortin of Sudbury, ON; three grandchildren: Laurent, Michelle and Carole; four great-grandchildren: Justin, Ryan, Alex and Charlie, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sons: Roger and Bernard; one sister: Eugénie, as well as two brothers: Adrice and Charles.
A private visitation and chapel service was held at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Friday, January 6, 2012. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Shediac.
